A special thanks to my new friend Agantuk, who is a linguist from India, and I met online. We were exchanging poems that we both like, and then he asked me whether I write poems myself. It has been a very long time, since I wrote poems of any kind. So I actually sat in one place, came out with this poem and sent it to him. He liked it. So now having gained some confidence, I am publishing the same.
TRIPS TO THE LIBRARY
FILLED WITH DR. SEUSS AND STAR WARS
ALWAYS IN A HURRY
RIDING BIKES NO HANDS ON THE BARS
DIGGING IN THE SAND
BUILDING CASTLES AND MOATS
ITS THE SAME LIL HAND
THAT FILLS THE HOUSE WITH PIANO NOTES
WATCHING TV SHOWS
NODDING HIS HEAD IN RAPT ATTENTION
PLAYING WITH LEGOS
CREATING THE NEXT INVENTION
MY SWEET MITI
LET YOUR INNER CHILD FOREVER BE!

Hi Lakshmi;
Just stopped over from PoeARTica. Your poem sent me back in time for a bit, to when my children were young and just discovering things. I miss those days.
Take care;
Anna

Kim THANK YOU ! I fell in love with the background myself. Your feed back is heartening.. Most people I sent the poem to [close confidants] gave a positive feedback. Its a nice feeling when creativity is appreciated. As an artist I am sure you can relate.
Rgds..
how lovely Lakshmi !!!!
you have evoked some wonderful images of your son in this poem….
I love the new look of your site….the green and the burgundy make a lovely combination and the design of the fixed background is very elegant
