The whole of last week I was amused to see Bill Gates and Seinfeld share their lives with common folk on TV.

After a long long time, I ended up developing a blogger template for my friend Surya Prakash.
He has an excellent blog going, with some profound posts. So I decided to give his blog a much needed rehaul. After all, what are friends for?

I have heard reports, seen documentaries and tried to place myself in other people's shoes, but always left with a feeling that my emotions were secondhand, and therefore of no account when compared to the loss suffered by the families directly affected.
This morning, I recieved a google alert in my mail box from designshack. I was praying, with bated breath, and wonder of wonders, the design for chilligavva blog had made it to the site... My joy knew no bounds...
Last year I wrote a very detailed post on Vinayaka Chavithi. This year all of us went to the Omaha Ganesha Temple. The crowd was not heavy, and the rituals not as grand as I thought it would be, which was a disappointment. A enthusiastic devotee shoved hymn copies of "Om Jai Jagdish" in Hindi. Most of the crowd knew the tune, but didnt know the lyrics, and generally hummed along [Clear indication of south indian crowd]. The said same lady, later on belted out "Gajana Nayutam" in carnatic style, which was good.
