Nothing puts a grin into my face as when i see a cool app. I was browsing through http://squarefactor.com when i chanced on their square factor story interface. Here is what I generated with some random words! Cool!

First came symbols, then came engravings, then the torch and then the flag.

I am writing of this a little late ( some kind of oversight I guess, I apologise Vinh Le ), but in the midst of spring cleaning my site, I now correct the omission. 

I was blown away by this site, and the lovely lovely design work of Maurico Guimaraes, an artist, digital illustrator, animator and flash developer from Brazil. Do visit his website, and experience the site. Its nice, and his creative work, just blew my mind away.The site is bilingual, and is available in English and Portuguese.

Yesterday, as per usual, i attempted a poster without sketches. So I started with a noisy background, added a layer of vines, bevelled the same, drew a lady's profile using my wacom tablet, and found something lacking. So i added another layer of bluerays [no pun intended!].

This is quite a simple effect actually.. I took a photo, and pasted it on 2 layers using Serif photo Plus 6.0, my image editing tool. One layer i selected an irregular path and feathered to a 100, and masked it. The layer below, i applied a radial motion blur. And hey presto, a neat effect resulted. Dont you think so?
