Redesign Features

Its Liquid

The page is liquid in design. It has a min. width of 750px to fit most old browsers. Resize browser window and increase font sizes, to understand this feature.

Tabbed Menu

Converted the left permanent menu, to a tab menu on top, for easier navigation.

Rounded look

• Rounded articles
• Rounded block menus on the right.
• Rounded page top
• Rounded page bottom

The slashdot logo

Included it in the footer.

White background

Most readable text is on white background, to reduce reading fatigue.

Functionality

(Re)Moved elements

• Moved the search box up for better access
• Dynamic CSS / JS based menu on top
• Included a "go to top" button at the page bottom to prevent tiresome scrolls
• Deleted topic icons on the top

Retained

Topic icons in the articles. I think thats the most UNIQUE feature of slashdot.

Browser Compatibility

Works in IE 6.0 and Mozilla.
